Evita has lived on Nantucket for over 20 years. She was integral to the vision and design of Nautilus Nantucket before we opened in early 2014, and she was one of the first calls we made when we knew we'd be building a new Nautilus in Boston. She is an incredible artist, an amazing person, incredibly hardworking and talented, and we are incredibly lucky to know her and have the benefit of her artistic services.
In Nantucket she did the walls including the feature wall, the floors, the grey barn board finish on all the wood including the base of the bars, banquettes and the service station, she has sealed all our tables, and recently resurfaced the bar top. She also helped us with a variety of design elements at our other Nantucket restaurant the Gaslight.
In Boston Evita took on a huge scope including the faux tile floors in the dining room and the bathrooms, the polished concrete with epoxy in the chefs bar and main bar, the graphic stencil of our logo on the floor of the main bar, the epoxy brass in the archways, the epoxy brass of the private dining room bar and back bar, the feature wall in the dining room, the faux concrete finish of the walls in the main dining room, main bar, and bath halls, the wallpaper, and other miscellaneous items.
